At a distance of 5 km from Jamnagar Railway Station Shree Bala Hanuman Temple, also known as Shri Balahanuman Sankirtan Mandir is situated on the southeast side of Ranmal Lake (or Lakhota Lake) in Jamnagar. Devoted to Lord Hanuman, the temple is separated from the lake by a wide road. The simple-looking structure houses the idols of Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman, Goddess Sita, and Lord Hanuman.
Since 1st August 1964, chanting of Ram Dhun – ‘Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram’ goes on in the temple premises, day in and day out. This 24×7 ritual has been acknowledged and listed by the Guinness Book of World Records. The local population has deep faith in the temple and believes that it guards them from natural calamities and other troubles. Arti (ritual of worship) takes place twice a day (morning and evening). The evening arti is the most awaited event of the day.

રામ ધૂન 50 વર્ષથી ગુંજી રહી છે :
1 ઓગસ્ટ 1964ના રોજ, એટલે કે લગભગ 54 વર્ષ પહેલાં, મહારાજ જીના કહેવાથી, હનુમાન ભક્તોએ 7 દિવસ સુધી સતત 24 કલાક ‘શ્રી રામ જય રામ જય જય રામ’ મંત્રનો જાપ કરવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. જે પાછળથી એક અનંત પરંપરા બની અને આજ સુધી ચાલુ છે. આ રામ ધૂનના જાપની એક અનોખી વિશેષતા છે કે જે લોકો તેને ગાય છે તે સામાન્ય ભક્તો છે પ્રોફેશનલ ગાયકો નથી. હવે યોગ્ય યાદી બનાવીને નોટિસ બોર્ડ પર એક દિવસ અગાઉ મુકવામાં આવે છે.
ખાસ સંજોગોને કારણે કોઈ વિક્ષેપ ન પડે તે માટે વધારાના ગાયકો તરીકે ચાર ગાયકોના નામ રાખવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ સાથે મંદિરમાં કોઈપણ ભક્ત પોતાની મરજીથી રામ ધૂન ભજન સભામાં પણ ભાગ લઈ શકે છે.
ખાસ વાત એ છે કે મંદિરમાં આવતા ભક્તોએ તેમના અથાક પ્રયાસોથી લગભગ અડધી સદી વીતી ગયા પછી પણ રામ ધૂનની લહેર તૂટવા દીધી નથી. 2001માં ગુજરાતમાં આવેલા વિનાશક ભૂકંપ વખતે પણ લોકોએ રામ ધૂન ગાવાનું ચાલુ રાખ્યું હતું.
