9. Pawna Lake Camping, Lonavala

The Pawna dam (Pavana dam) created Pawna Lake, which is effectively an artificial lake. About 40 miles outside the limits of Pimpri Chinchwad city, in the Maval Taluka, on the Pawna River, is where you’ll find the Pawna Dam. It can hold around 10 TMC. The dam has a gross storage capacity of 0.24 km (0.058 cu mi), is 1,329 m (4,360 ft) long and 42.37 m (139.0 ft) high. Construction on the dam began in 1963 and was completed in 1972.
