History of Unai Mata Temple :

Unai Mata temple is located in the small village of Unai near Vansada Taluka, in Navsari district. The story of Unai Mata temple is related to the time when Lord Shree Ram was passing by Dandakaranya forest, at present Dang. Lord Shree Ram came across of Ashram of sage Sharbhangs, devotees of Shree Ram. Sage was suffering from disease, thus Laksham requested Lord Rama to help to relieve the sage.
Lord Shree Ram released an arrow on the ground and hot water emerged and amidst them, there was a beautiful statue of goddess – Ushnamba Mata. Rishi Sharbhang then bathed in a hot water spring and was instantly cured of his ailment. After this occasion, it is believed that any ailing devotee bath in hot water with faith will restore his health. Gujarati term Hu Nai – means bath, the town was thus named Unai, and Ushnamba Mata is known as Unai Mataji. This temple and hot water spirit are ancient and historical, thus thousands of devotees visit here the whole year.
The hot water spring releases water at the speed of 2500 gallons of water per hour with an approximate temp of 56 Celsius. It contains a large amount of minerals with medicinal and healing properties. This water cures the skin and joints related problems thus attracting lots of people each day.

• Dandi Beach : The beach is a very beautiful place where you can sit on the shore, build sand castles, take a walk on the beach or have some fun in the water. It is named so because of its location near Dandi village.
• Jamshed Bagh :Built in the year 1849 with simple and humble architecture of sloping roof and a beautiful courtyard, it is one of the best maintained Parsi Dharamshalas in India.
• Desai Atash Bahram :Desai Atash Bahram Considered to be one of the oldest yet very well maintained temples in Gujarat, this place was established in 1765 and is also famous for being the second oldest fire temple in India.
• Dastur Meherjirana Library :Built in the year 1872 by Seth Burjor Bamanji Padam, the entire internal structure of which is said to have been renovated in the year 1999.
• Navsari Agricultural University: If you have an interest in agriculture or horticulture, you can visit the Navsari Agricultural University, which is located nearby. It might not be a typical tourist attraction, but it offers a unique insight into agricultural practices in the region.
